Healing Through the Miles: How Running Reveals the Lineage We Carry

Healing Through the Miles: How Running Reveals the Lineage We Carry

Every time I lace up my shoes and head out for another training run, something unexpected happens. The miles don’t just strengthen my legs — they open the door to memories I didn’t know were still living inside me.

As I run, I see flashbacks from my childhood, moments between the ages of five and fifteen, when my mother and father were struggling inside their own belief systems — belief systems that were completely separated from Creator. It was as if someone had taken the Ten Commandments and shattered them across our entire family line. Arguments over money, food, alcohol, and daily survival shaped the emotional landscape of our home. My brother and I were blamed for things that weren’t true. My parents were surrounded by people who weren’t living from love, but from fear and scarcity.

I absorbed all of it.

These experiences became the hidden architecture of my reality — the quiet, undermining beliefs about my worth, my safety, my potential, and even what was possible for my own children. And now, as I run mile after mile, I feel those old roots loosening. I breathe into them. I make peace with them. And something miraculous happens: life begins returning to my legs in ways I haven’t felt in years.

I stopped running once because it became too hard. But now I understand: life was too hard for my family for so long.

The grief, the suffering, the shame, the emotional decrepitude — it lived in all of us.  And so today, every moment of my run matters. Every breath matters. Every sensation matters.

Because healing doesn’t stop with me.

When I heal this within myself, it travels back through the lineage — to the mothers of creation, to the roots of our family tree, to the places where the original wounds were formed. And from there, it ripples forward into my children, and into their children, and into every future generation. It rewrites the DNA sequence that once carried suffering, victimization, and limitation.

These are the roots that keep us stuck. And when we pull them out — gently, intentionally, with the right tools — we change the quantum reality going forward.

This is the essence of heaven on earth, so beautifully described in the Reiki teachings. Yes, we must work for what we want. We must align our energy with what we are asking for. We must participate in our healing. But once we do, we begin to understand the deeper truth:

We are all connected in a golden grid — a luminous web of light.

When one of us heals, all of us heal. When one of us rises, all of us rise. When one of us remembers who we truly are, the entire lineage remembers too.

This life is temporary, but our work is eternal. It continues long after we leave this physical plane. It touches those who are here now, those who have not yet been born, and those who are helping from other dimensions.

What we heal today ripples across all space, time, and dimension.

This is what the ascended ones have always taught. This is what we came here to do. This is why every breath, every mile, every moment of awareness matters.

And this is why I run
